Energy-saving LED-UVC sterilisation light
Conventional UVC sterilisation most often uses mercury lamps, which risk mercury pollution and are harmful to the environment. To eliminate mercury pollution, the United Nations signed the Minamata Convention on Mercury in 2013, phasing out the manufacture, import and export of mercury-added products by 2020. LED-UVC technology, which sterilises without producing toxic substances, has therefore become the direction of industry development.
Mercury lamps need to warm up and cannot be switched off, so they must stay lit 24 hours a day, giving an average life of only about one year. An LED-UVC flowing-water module switches on and off instantly: UV light turns on when water starts flowing through the filter and off when it stops. This saves the electricity a mercury lamp would use and extends service life to up to 5 years — far more economical.
With 12 built-in LED-UVC chips for highly effective sterilisation and an anti-back-flow design, every drop of drinking water stays clean.
At just 1/5 the size of a conventional mercury-lamp module, it saves cabinet space — a new generation of UVC sterilisation light.
